The research scope of all administrative boundaries of the city. Nha Trang has an area of ​​254km2, including:
  • The North borders with Ninh Hoa town
  • The West borders with Dien Khanh district
  • The South borders with Cam Lam district
  • The East borders with Nha Trang Bay
The goal of the program is to review and assess the current state of urban construction and development investment in the Nha Trang city. On that basis, to build a list and roadmap for implementation and focus on mobilizing resources for investment in construction and development, aiming to 2020 the whole city will reach grade-I urban standards.
 
In addition, to concretize the adjusted general planning directions of the city. By 2025, Nha Trang will step by step build urban infrastructure suitable to the city's socio-economic development needs; reasonable urban development according to location, nature, function ...
 
From now to 2025, the city urban development program  Nha Trang will focus on developing areas such as the old Nha Trang airport, south of Cai river, west of Le Hong Phong, Phuoc Long - Vinh Truong - Vinh Nguyen, western Nha Trang (Vinh Trung - Vinh Thanh and a part of Vinh Hiep) ...
 
In the period up to 2030, urban development spaces will be completed in communes and wards and supplementing urban development projects in areas that can convert land use functions or urbanized areas.
 
The program has set out the main urban development targets of the city. Nha Trang in the following phases: by 2025, to concentrate resources on completing the grade-I urban standard with the current Nha Trang urban and inner-city areas; to invest in the construction of 19 existing wards, ensuring the standards of wards of grade I urban centers; to build Vinh Thai commune up to the standards of urban wards of grade I.
 
By 2030, focus on upgrading communes to reach the standards of ward establishment, achieving the urbanization rate of 95%; continue to improve the standards of wards in grade I urban areas for recognized wards and communes expected to develop into remaining wards.
 
It is expected that the capital demand for implementing the projects of the program in the period 2021 - 2025 is 29,400 billion VND, of which about 26,000 billion VND will be mobilized from non-budget resources.
 
According to the statistics of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, during this period, there are 41 projects in the education sector, 64 technical infrastructure projects, 3 infrastructure projects for resettlement areas, 43 transportation projects, 8 irrigation projects ...
 
In the period of 2026 - 2030, it is expected that the capital demand for the implementation of the projects is nearly 18,000 billion VND, in which projects will be implemented in residential areas and new urban areas.
