Techcombank received the "Leading partner bank in Viet Nam in 2020" award from ADB while SHB was named "Best bank for SMEs Vietnam" by AsiaMoney

Techcombank

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has recently granted Vietnam Technological and Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Techcombank) the "Leading partner bank in Viet Nam in 2020" award in an announcement ceremony of the Trade and Supply Chain Finance Programme (TSCFP) held in Ha Noi.

This award has recognized Techcombank's outstanding achievements in trade finance activities in the region and around the world. It has also enhanced the brand reputation of Techcombank and ADB in particular and the partner banks in general. Accordingly, this award is based on the number of transactions within the TSCFP implemented from early 2019 to mid-2020.

The TSCFP (formerly the Trade Finance Program) grants and gives loans to more than 240 partners banks in 21 countries to support international trade. Since 2004, Techcombank has become one of the first partner banks in Vietnam selected by ADB to sign two important contracts under this program, including "Rollover Credit Contract" and "Guarantee Contract for Issuing Bank". ADB guarantees to support Techcombank to improve the ability to meet customers' demands for trade finance and expand the opportunities to reach new partners and markets in the region and around the world.

 Techcombank

Besides the award from ADB, Techcombank was honored as the "Leading Brand in Effective Performance 2020" award by Forbes in October and ranked as the "Best Bank in Vietnam 2020" by international organizations, including Asia Risk and EuroMoney.

In the third quarter of 2020, Techcombank continued to record outstanding business achievements, with the pre-tax profit of VND 10.7 trillion and revenue of 19.3 trillion, increasing by 20.9% and 33.5%, respectively compared to the same period in 2019. Techcombank maintained an impressive streak of revenue growth for 20 consecutive quarters amid many challenges caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

 Techcombank

Moody's Baseline Credit Assessment (BCA) rating for Techcombank was Ba3 in the middle of the year, reflecting its stable asset quality, solid profitability, and strong capital base. Among 19 banks in Vietnam assessed by Moody, Techcombank is the only one with the highest BCA rating and is only limited by the national credit rating ceiling.
