In the second quarter of 2023, the total market share of 10 largest securities companies accounted for 68.08%, a record level on the Vietnamese stock market. In the same period last year, the market share of these companies was almost equivalent to this figure, reaching 68.05%.
Regarding the ranking of companies on the top 10 market share rankings, the positions of three companies with the largest market share including VPS (19.01%), SSI (10.22%), and VNDirect (7.27%) remained unchanged.
The brokerage market share of VPS Securities reached the highest level in the company's history, increasing by 3.34 percentage points compared to the previous quarter.
In the last quarter, HSC Securities (Code: HCM) dropped from the top 5 position to the 6th position in the rankings with a market share of 4.98%. The market share below 5% of HSC Securities is considered the lowest in the company's many-year history. TCBS surpassed HSC to enter the top 5 as its market share increased from 4.35% in the first quarter to 5.47% in the last quarter.
Mirae Asset Securities (Vietnam) continued to rank 5th despite the decrease in market share from 5.9% to 5.16%.
The top 10 securities companies with the largest brokerage market share on HOSE also have the presence of familiar names including VietCap (4.62%), MBS (4.85%), and KIS Vietnam (4.85%). FPT Securities (FPTS) returned to the top 10 after two quarters of absence with a market share of 3.23%. Meanwhile, Vietcombank Securities (VCBS) left the ranking.
In the first half of 2023 in general, VPS and SSI continue to be the two companies with the largest market share in the market, reaching 17.65% and 10.76% respectively. Followed by VNDirect (7.08%), HSC (5.53%), Mirae Asset (Vietnam) (5.46%).
