1. SSI Securities Corporation

SSI Securities Corporation, also known as SSI – HoSE, was established in 1999. With more than 20 years in securities investment activities, the company has built a reputation that attracts millions of investors throughout the country. As a leading financial institution in Vietnam, SSI has officially become a bridge that enables international investors to fully participate in the domestic financial market.

In May 2021, at the end of the trading session, SSI became the first and only securities company in Vietnam to reach a market capitalization exceeding one billion dollars (USD 1.07 billion).

With owner's equity of VND 9,010,468,000,000 and nearly 500 million shares being circulated on the market, the development potential of SSI is expected to go further in the coming time.

In 2021, the company recorded total revenue of VND 7,772.6 billion, and profit before tax of VND 3,326.8 billion, up 71.7% and 112.6% respectively over the same period in 2020. Consolidated profit before tax in 2021 was estimated at VND 3,350 billion - this is the record profit of SSI after 21 years of operation, exceeding 60% of the year's profit plan.

As of December 31, 2021, the company had total assets of VND 50,359 billion, of which equity is VND 13,887 billion.

2. VPS Securities Joint Stock Company

Established in 2006, VPS Securities Joint Stock Company - formerly Vietnam Prosperity Bank Securities Joint Stock Company, has become one of the largest securities companies in Vietnam with charter capital of VND 3,500 billion.

VPS provides diversified and high-quality products that create added value for businesses and investors, including stock brokerage, financial services, investment banking services, financial consulting and analysis.

With the goal of providing outstanding international-class financial products and services, VPS has gathered a team of experienced domestic and foreign experts in the financial market, along with the most modern information technology system.

In 2021, the company recorded total revenue of VND 9,518.1 billion, nearly 2.5 times higher than in 2020. In particular, revenue from securities investment accounted for the highest proportion, 49.4%, equivalent to VND 4,699.8 billion. Following is revenue from securities brokerage with more than VND 3,135.1 billion, accounting for 32.9%.

Profit before tax was VND 995 billion while its profit after tax was VND 797.1 billion, an increase of 57.4% compared to the result in 2020.

At the end of 2021, VPS total assets reached over VND 26,856 billion (up 67% compared to 2020), and its equity reached over VND 7,820 billion.

3. Vndirect Securities Corporation

VNDIRECT Securities Corporation (stock code: VND) was established in 2006 and mainly operates in the field of securities investment, securities brokerage and financial consulting.

Over 16 years of development, VNDIRECT Securities has become one of the largest securities brokers in Vietnam with a market share that is always in the top 5.

In 2021, VNDIRECT's total operating revenue reached VND 5,777 billion, up 150% over the same period last year. Total accounting profit after tax of the parent company reached VND 2,178 billion, 3.2 times higher than the same period last year, and 36% higher than the adjusted business plan.

The sharp increase in the number of new investors (F0) and new records of trading value in the market contributed to the outstanding growth of the company's profits. Most of VNDIRECT's activities recorded dramatic growth compared to the same period last year.

4. Techcom Securities Joint Stock Company

Techcom Securities Joint Stock Company (TCBS) is one of the largest securities companies in Vietnam and a leader in corporate bond issuance and trading consulting.

Established in September 2008, Techcom Securities is a subsidiary of Vietnam Technological and Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Techcombank), and is one of the largest securities companies in the market in terms of charter capital, revenue and the profit. The company is the leading company in the corporate bond industry in Vietnam with more than 40% of the consulting market share and more than 80% of the brokerage market share on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HOSE).

Total revenue in 2021 of the company was VND 5,195 billion, up 59% and pre-tax profit reached VND 3,810 billion, up 42% compared to 2020. Pre-tax profit margin reached 73%. Return on equity was 40%.

5. Ho Chi Minh City Securities Corporation

Ho Chi Minh City Securities Corporation (HCM) was established in 2003 on the basis of strategic cooperation and investment of Ho Chi Minh City Investment Fund for Urban Development (HIFU) and Dragon Capital Group (UK). HSC's business services include securities brokerage, investment banking, analysis and capital investment.

The company provides financial services to institutional and individual clients, professional, comprehensive and research-based investment advisory services. HSC has achieved remarkable success in connecting businesses with investors as well as building long-term partnerships with customers in the Corporate Finance Division.

Officially listed on the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HOSE) in May 2009 with the stock code HCM, the growth in capital has helped HSC consolidate its position as one of the strongest securities companies in Vietnam in terms of financial background as well as investment capacity with charter capital of over VND 1,273 billion and total equity of VND 2,247 billion (as of December 31, 2013).

In 2021, HSC recorded a net revenue of VND 3,368 billion, an increase of 112% compared to 2020, 26% higher than the plan. The company’s pre-tax profit reached VND 1,430 billion, an increase of 117% compared to 2020, 19% higher than the year plan.

6. Viet Capital Securities Joint Stock Company

Viet Capital Securities Joint Stock Company (VCSC), established in 2007, is one of the fastest growing securities companies in Vietnam. In 2014, VCSC, for the first time, surpassed the target threshold of 25% in terms of return on equity (ROE).

In 2021, VCSC achieved VND 3,733 billion in revenue, up 115% and the pre-tax profit of the company was VND 1,851 billion, up 95% compared to 2020. EPS reached VND 4,503, a sharp increase of 95% compared to the same period in 2020.

ROE in 2021 was 27.1%. In 2021, VCSC was also one of the few securities companies that did not raise new capital, so the company continued to achieve growth in EPS. At the end of the year, its equity reached VND 6,542 billion, an increase of 45% compared to the end of 2020.

Particularly in the fourth quarter of 2021, VCSC's net revenue reached VND 1,149 billion, up 73%. Its pre-tax profit was VND 584 billion, up 95% over the same period.

All business segments of the company recorded growth. Specifically, in the brokerage segment, revenue was VND 228 billion in the fourth quarter, up 41% over the same period, while pre-tax profit was VND 89 billion. The company’s total revenue in 2021 reached VND 838 billion and its pre-tax profit was VND 304 billion, up 91% and 64% respectively.

7. Saigon - Hanoi Securities Joint Stock Company

Currently, MBS focuses on developing two main business segments, securities services and investment banking services, supported by in-depth research activities.

In 2021, MB Securities recorded VND 2,247 billion in revenue and VND 736 billion in pre-tax profit, two times higher than in 2020.

The number of new customers reached the highest level in the 21-year history of establishment. The total number of new accounts opened last year was 161,468, of which the number opened via MB and MBS apps reached 141,757 accounts.

In 2010, KIS Korea held 48.8% of capital in KIS Vietnam. The company gradually increased its ownership rate over the years and the current official ownership rate is 99.8%.
