CDO shares of Consultancy Design and Urban Development Joint Stock Company is one of the stocks that have caused heavy loss for many investors.
CDO went public on May 3, 2015 priced at VND 18,000. After one and a half years on the stock market, CDO price has jumped spectacularly, reaching VND 37,000/share in early May, 2016 and CDO shareholders, at that time, owned shares worth more than VND 1,100 billion.
However, since early December, CDO price has continuously decreased for unknown reasons. In total, it has dropped in 28 consecutive sessions, particularly reached the lowest point in 25 sessions. The downtrend still has no sign of stopping.
From market capitalization worth trillions of VNDs, the market value of CDO is now at VND 172 billion; the share price has dropped below VND 6,000 and is expected to be dirty-cheap in no time.
It is worth noting that CDO plummeted in the context of company operation remaining stable. In terms of business results, CDO turnover was VND 182 billion and its profit was VND 37 billion in 2015 which is skyrocketing compared to the previous years. In 2016, the first 9 months’ profit was 28 billion and the revenue reached 140 billion.
Board of Directors of CDO has also confirmed that the business and investment activities of the company are still operating normally. They have also advised investors to “stay calm and sober when trading stocks." However, CDO so far has continually decreased day by day.
