After the ITU Telecom World held from 9th-12th September, 2019, it has been decided that Vietnam is going to be the host of the ITU Telecom World in 2020
ITU Telecom World is a global influential events and the most important event of the year to the people working in the fields of IT and Communication.
The ITU Telecom World 2019 was held recently in the capital Budapest of Bulgaria in 4 days from 9th to 12th September, 2019. ITU Telecom World is a annual global telecom event held by ITU – the United Nations specialized agency for information and communication technologies
The ITU Telecom World 2019 attracted the participation of more than 5,000 representatives coming from more than 100 nations in the world.
ITU Telecom World was the meeting place of more than 200 ministerial leaders, heads of telecommunication and IT management agencies, international organizations, leaders of corporations and specialized associations, and international media. Notably, this was the first time Vietnam was selected to host this event in 2020. This event was host multiple times in Singapore and Bangkok.
Addressing at the opening ceremony of the ITU Telecom World 2019 as the host of ITU Telecom World 2020, Minister of the Ministry of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung emphasized the importance of telecommunication in a new millennium.
Nowadays, telecommunication includes everything related to digital, and the Internet is the Internet of everything. The Minister emphasized the fact that a new wave is coming, which will connect everybody, everything, anywhere and anytime.
According to Minister Nguyen Manh Hung, every nations in the world most cooperate to progress further together. Vietnam is always ready to work with other countries to create a new telecommunication world, a digital one. It would be the world of connection wherever and whenever you are – Said Minister Hung.
Talking to delegates from all over the world, Minister Nguyen Manh Hung affirmed that Vietnam is Vietnam is making effort to convert the telecommunications infrastructure into the ICT infrastructure.
In this year, Vietnam is going to announce the national digitalize strategy, with a range of impact covering the Government, businesses and the society. Network safety and security, as well as digital principles are compulsory conditions of this transition.
On this occasion, Minister of the Ministry of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung has also officially declared that Vietnam is going to host the next ITU Telecom World in September 2020 in Hanoi. Accordingly, Vietnam welcome every nations to attend the ITU Telecom World 2020.
