At the end of the morning session today (25 Jan 2018), the VN-Index increased 26.85 points, approaching 1,115.01 points and the trading volume reached 311.4 million units, equivalent to VND8,754 billion. The HNX also rose by 1.07 points to close at 127.33 points with nearly 61 million shares traded for VND1,014 billion.
Put-through transactions were VND928 billion.
Such large-cap stocks as VIC, MSN have dramatically increased but VNM, SAB, MWG, ROS… and Vn30 stocks have been drowned in red.
Due to the technical problem causing the 2-day stagnation of HOSE, cash flow is being poured into this stock exchange making hot banking and oil stocks increase. GAS increased by 5-6% at VND113,000 and by 9:30 it hit the ceiling. PVD once hit the ceiling price to VND29,60. PVS still increased by 3%. PVB, PVT, PVC ... also increased.
VCN holds the leading position in the banking group with 3% increase, reaching VND66,000. CTG, BID and MBB also experienced the increase. SHB is still trying to increase over VND12,000. STB leads the liquidity on HOSE with 4.7 million shares.
After announcing record profits, stocks of securities company are also drowned in blue, except for the decrease of SHS and ART. TVS almost reached the ceiling. SSI reversed from green to blue with net buying from foreigners. This group is also actively buying VND.
HPG remains unmatched while other steel stocks sink in the red. HPG was up VND65,000. Foreigners were net sellers of this stock.
The aviation stock VJC hit the ceiling again at VND199,500. MSN also experience the dramatic increase to VND95,500. VIC was up 1.1% at VND85,900. VRE was up 2.5% at VND65,000.
On the other hand, SAB and VNM fell. ACV decreased. While VNM dropped because of the sharp increase before HoSE suspended trading due to the technical problem, GTN (stock in the dairy industry) has slightly increased due to previous adjustment to the lowest price months.
Within 30 minutes, HOSE matched 48.4 million shares equivalent to nearly VND1,500 billion. VN-Index increased nearly 16 points.
