Fruit and vegetable juice are becoming the new trend when it comes to choosing beverages among the Vietnamese. Listed below are popular juice brands from well-known beverage companies in Vietnam.

The booming juice market in Vietnam

In recent years, Vietnamese people have become more conscious of health products, as there has been a significant rise in diabetes, high blood pressure, and cancer. The awareness for well-being has led to a shift in the trend of beverage consumption.

Vietnamese now lean towards healthier drinks, with more nutrition and less sugar. Consumers are willing to pay more for healthier products, spending less on carbonated soft drinks. The revenue growth of carbonated soft drinks in Vietnam has fallen from 27.9 percent in 2011 to 9.3 percent in 2019 and is predicted to be falling further in the future. Meanwhile, healthy natural beverage value sales reached 4.9 billion USD in 2019 and are projected to continue to rise.

The healthy beverage that suits the new trend of drinks is preferably those of organic, natural origin. Juice, especially packaged juice, is becoming a popular choice for Vietnamese consumers.

Tropicana by Suntory PepsiCo

PepsiCo is a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) corporation, specialized in food and beverage. PepsiCo is presented in over 200 countries. In 2013, Suntory PepsiCo Vietnam is established with 100 percent foreign investment, a joint venture between Suntory and PepsiCo.

In 1998, PepsiCo acquired Tropicana, an American multinational company that primarily makes fruit-based drinks. The company specializes in orange juice production.

Coca-Cola is a big player in the beverage industry of Vietnam. Coca-Cola has been dominating the non-alcoholic drinks segment together with Suntory PepsiCo, taking over 41 percent of the market share.
