According to the summary from the financial statements of 27 banks that account for about 67% of the entire banking system's assets, the total assets of most banks recorded growth. Total assets of 27 banks increased by 11.3% to more than VND 11.5 million billion.
Only three banks had a decrease in total assets, namely MSB (down 4.7%); VietABank (down 9.9%) and Kienlongbank (down 3.8%).
The Big4 continues to lead the asset rankings with BIDV being the champion with total assets exceeding VND 2 million billion, up 16.7% compared to the end of last year. The top 4 banks in terms of assets all recorded double-digit growth.
Techcombank's total assets increased by 18% to VND 671,354 billion; that of Vietcombank and VietinBank increased by 16.6% and 14.3%, respectively.
TOP 10 banks with the largest total assets include BIDV, VietinBank, Vietcombank, Techcombank, MB, Sacombank, ACB, SHB, HDBank and VIB. In this list, Agribank and SCB are not present because these two banks have not yet released their third quarter financial statements.
