All 19 corporations and groups under the management of the Managing Committee have been severely affected in the first quarter of 2020 with 7 out of 19 companies suffering losses, including Vietnam Airlines, Petrolimex, Vinalines, etc. Vietnam Airlines is considered to be the most damaged.
On 1st April 2020, The Committee for Management of State Capital at Enterprises (the Committee for short) has sent Document No. 561/UBQLV-TH to the Prime Minister to report the assessment of the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic to the production and business activities of 19 corporations and groups under the management of the Committee.
In the report, due to the complicated and serious development of the COVID-19 in the world and Vietnam, people are refrained from travel and social contact, resulting in several production, tourism, and services activities being postponed; simultaneously, due to the effects of the trade war and the decreased oil price in several nations, some businesses managed by the Committee are suffering from double impacts.

The report has also considered the scenario of the economic impacts on corporations and business groups if the epidemic lasts until the 4th quarter of 2020.
