Mr. Nurlan Nigmatulin said that he and National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan had a successful meeting, whereby the two sides' National Assembly will create the most favorable conditions to promote bilateral development. In this context, the Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (FTA) - the Eurasian Economic Union - is very important. Vietnam was the first country to sign FTAs with the Union, after that, many countries signed FTAs and 40 other countries are negotiating with the Union.

He cordially invites Vietnamese partners to join in business and cooperation in Kazakhstan.

He learned that the Government of Vietnam is developing a number of programs on strategies for industrial development, energy, infrastructure construction, and Vietnamese brand promotion. Kazakhstan is also implementing a series of strategic measures.

Recently, Kazakhstan has applied a visa exemption policy for Vietnamese citizens within 30 days and hopes that Vietnam will take similar measures soon. Vietnam wants Kazakhstan to actively support the maintenance of peace, stability and development, and the resolution of disputes through peaceful means, diplomatic negotiations, and respect for international law.

The Prime Minister assessed that economic and trade relations between the two countries were increasingly strengthened. The implementation of FTA Vietnam - Eurasian Economic Union in 2016 brought positive changes in economic, trade and investment cooperation between the two countries.

The Prime Minister suggested that the two sides assess the reality of the implementation of the FTA Vietnam - Eurasian Economic Union, draw experience and propose effective measures to continue the effective implementation of the Agreement; taking advantage of the preferential tariffs brought by the Agreement to boost import and export between the two countries. Actively promote the implementation of the achieved results of the 9th meeting of Vietnam - Kazakhstan Intergovernmental Committee meeting in Nursultan.
