BIDV was honored with the “Best Custodian Bank in Vietnam” by The Asian Banker. This is the first time a bank from Vietnam receives this award from The Asian Banker. The award recognizes BIDV's efforts and achievements in catching up with market trends, providing comprehensive services and autonomy of the technology system.

The Saigon – Hanoi Commercial Joint Stock Bank (SHB) was honored by The Asian Banking and Finance (ABF) with three prestigious international awards for its initiatives for the community, recognizing the bank's proactive adaptation efforts. customers over the past time, at the same time, affirming a strong financial foundation, safe operation, and sustainable development. To share difficulties with customers affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Southeast Asia Commercial Joint Stock Bank (SeABank) will reduce the lending interest rate by up to 1% per year compared to the current interest rate applies for outstanding loans from existing customers. In addition, SeABank is also implementing a support program specifically for corporate customers affected by the pandemic with a limit of 2,000 billion VND with interest rates ranging from 6.5 to 8% per year, applicable to end on December 31, 2021. SeABank also applies preferential interest rates for businesses with import-export activities with preferential loans of 5.6 - 6.4%/year for VND and from 2.6 - 3%/year for USD.

Vietnam Maritime Commercial Joint Stock Bank (HoSE: MSB) approved to increase capital by paying a 30% stock dividend. The bank plans to issue an additional 352.5 million shares to pay dividends, bringing the total number of outstanding shares to nearly 1.53 billion shares, equivalent to 15,275 billion VND of charter capital. This capital increase plan was approved by shareholders at the 2021 annual meeting. The source of profit will be used to pay dividends in 2020 after having fully set aside all amounts and funds in accordance with the law and the profit of the previous year remaining undivided, valued at more than 4,775 billion VND, according to the audited consolidated financial statements as of December 31, 2020.
