This list includes 25 leading brands in Vietnam in the financial sector including: banking, securities and insurance. The total brand value of these companies in 2022 reached more than USD 3.94 billion, a slight decrease compared to 2021.
Topping the list is Vietcombank with a brand value reaching USD 705 million. Techcombank and VietinBank ranked second and third respectively with a value of USD 430 million and USD 388 million.
Three out of five leading brands are banks in the Big 4 group (State-owned banks) with Vietcombank, VietinBank and BIDV. Two other excellent representatives in the top 5 are Techcombank and VPBank. The common point of these two banks is that they both have owners returning from Eastern Europe and have been invested and developed very strongly in recent times.
The brand value of the top group far exceeds that of the bottom group on the list. Specifically, the total brand value of the last 5 companies, including PVI, BIC (insurance), Viet Capital Securities, Ho Chi Minh City Securities Company and VNDIRECT, reaches only USD 103.9 million.
This year, most of the brands on the list are banks with 17 representatives. This ratio has not changed compared to 2021.
Among securities companies, Techcom Securities is the leading company with an estimated brand value of USD 59.6 million. This figure is even higher than some banks and insurance companies. Following Techcom Securities are SSI and Viet Capital Securities.
Vietcombank has continuously stayed on top of Forbes Vietnam's ranking lists. It is also on Forbes' Global 2000 list. This reflects its efficient and stable operation, outstanding asset quality and the most diversified service income in the Vietnamese banking system.
Forbes Vietnam calculates and publishes the list of the most valuable brands in Vietnam for the first time in 2016. Since 2021, an important adjustment has been made. Accordingly, instead of doing the aggregate list, this magazine focuses on calculating the brand value of companies in a specific field.
